Abstract

The research is motivated by the problem of learning media from a number of schools in Padang that are not innovating in accordance with the development of the technological revolution even though the school facilities and infrastructure are sufficient for making technology-based learning media especially the Internet. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of cloud computing learning media as a learning support media, in this case in the form of E-Learning. The population of this research was 71 high school students in Padang City with a sample of SMAN 4, 5 and 14 Padang. Based on the results of the calculation of effectiveness, the effectiveness level is classified as effective with an average percentage of 78.95%. So it can be concluded that the use of cloud computing as a learning support media is categorized as an effective media.

Abstract

The decision-making system for the selection of new postgraduate student admissions which is carried out manually requires 7 days to submit the decision results. The selection is very important, so that the quality of input (input) of prospective students can be maintained in accordance with established standards. Therefore we need a system that can help in the decision making process quickly, precisely, and accurately. The purpose of this study is to help postgraduate master's study programs in conducting the selection of prospective graduate students in accordance with their abilities and disciplines. The method used in data processing using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method, is a method of weighting the sum of the criteria values ​​of each alternative. The results of the decision in the form of ranking the number of values, based on the passing grade value that has been set> 0.70 declared passed, or <0.70 declared not passed.

Abstract

This study aims to implement CCTV networks using wireless at Pagar Alam College of Technology. The security system of CCTV installed using coaxial cable and is not integrated with Android. This study uses PPDIOO method in the form Prepare, Planning, Design, Implement, Operate and Optimize stages. The security system uses IP camera so it can be accessed wirelessly and PIR sensor that can detect presence living things. Servo can move to 180o expand monitoring range. When indicated the existence of living, the system will activate alarm and send SMS to User. The system testing method uses black box testing by testing the functions according to the user's needs using the Questionnaire. The results of this study are PIR sensor can detect movements within distance 5 meters, the duration of the alarm for 1 minute 6 seconds, the average delay sending notifications for 5 seconds, SMS delay time depends on network conditions that time.

Abstract

This research aims to implement the existing hotspot network on the campus of the Pagar Alam College of Technology by using a proxy router for the needs of all users, especially students and lecturers to support the academic process. This research is based on the existing internet network at the Pagar Alam College of Technology, which cannot be enjoyed entirely by students and lecturers on campus, because the internet network is only intended for the staff, LPPM room and multimedia lab room and the network lab room is only a few computers which is connected to the internet using a LAN cable. This study uses the method PPDIOO is prepare, plan, design, implement, operate, optimize network has been generated using a proxy router, starting with providing infrastructure, user management, bandwidth management and has been used by the academic community.

Abstract

This study aims to build an application that serves to monitor violations committed by students on the research object, namely SMA Negeri 10 Pekanbaru State High School, the appointment of the title of this study is based on the found cases where parents do not know the violations committed by their children at school, because each violation has points assessment and if the research points have reached the maximum value, parents will be summoned, from information obtained from the school, parents will feel disappointed if they are called to school because their children have committed many violations, therefore an application is built so that parents can monitor the extent of their children violating. the application is built based on the web so that it can be accessed anytime and anywhere, the method of software development uses the waterfall method, the design is done using UML diagrams for modeling the application.

Abstract

Website security is needed in the dissemination of every information and data in cyberspace now. On the previous website the security used was not optimal in securing the website so we needed a reliable website security. XML (eXtensible Markup Language) is a markup language that is designed to store and deliver data by forming its own tags as needed. Codeigniter Framework is a php framework that is open source and uses the MVC method (Model, View, Controller). codeigniter is free or not paid if you use it. Codeigniter framework is made with the same purpose as other frameworks, namely to facilitate developers or programmers in building a web-based application without having to create it from scratch. The results of testing of this method are able to help and minimize the entry of hackers and secure data that will later become information. Using this method of combining can safeguard the entry of hackers and help secure the data and information on the website.

Abstract

One technology that is developing very rapidly now is information technology and mobile communication (mobile). Mathematics is a science that is widely used in everyday life such as used in trade transactions, carpentry, and so forth. But unfortunately mathematics is considered a difficult subject to understand and is considered terrible by some students who do not like the subject. Like what happened at 004 Batu Aji State Elementary School in Batam. In addition, learning techniques are a bit rigid, because they only come from textbooks. Therefore an educational game was made by incorporating elements of mathematics learning in it to make it look interesting and increase the interest of elementary school students. Indicator variables used are addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The purpose of this study is to apply and develop mathematics learning media in the form of an android-based educational game in the hope that it can improve the ability to count quickly, add insight and memory to students.

Abstract

Crime is an act of violation of the law that damages morals and social life in society. The purpose of this study is to predict the level of crime so that the results can be considered by related parties. The decisive factors in predicting crime rates in Batam City are unemployment, age and population. Sources of data were obtained from the statistical center agency and the Batam City Barelang Police. To do the crime rate process, use fuzzy logic with the Mamdani method. The input variable consists of unemployment, age and population, while the output is the crime rate. The stages in the processing are done by the Mamdani fuzzy logic that is determining the formation of the fuzzy set. This study produces prediction of crime in Batam City at position 49.5 which is in the medium range, with a population of 50 as inputted, 60 unemployment, and 50 years of age.
